**spring mini** {sessions}

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who signed up, came out in the COLD wet weather, worked with us to reschedule, and those who were so incredibly understanding if we just weren't able to make it happen!  THANK YOU!

where do i even start?!  we kept our eyes on the weather all week and it kept going back and forth... so we decided to just go for it!  nothing mentioned the WIND that showed up though!  and boy did that throw us a curve ball.  we lost our tents that were covering our sets, which then got soaked, which then got muddy and blown all over, which then we had to gather quickly running around like headless chickens, which ultimately ended up in canceling the afternoon and our husbands having to come pick up the pieces for us ;).  it was crazy!  i can't believe i didn't stop to take a picture (maybe because it was raining cats and dogs and we were running around like mad women) but you would have laughed... at us :).  it was quite a sight.  thankfully we were still able to get some great shots of beautiful people.

thanks to sarah giampapa of chickie momma crafts for being my partner in crime and to my friend jenah for loaning us her yard.  :)

**me** {personal}

so where has she been?!  yeah, i know.  i've totally been a slacker on the updates.  don't even look at my family blog, you'll judge me.  it's been THAT long.

so where have i been?!
we have been busy being a family!  now that my husband is home and actually lives under the same roof as us, we have been enjoying time together and well... making a baby!!!  i'm almost mid way through my pregnancy and feeling great!  i will be returning to photography for a little while (as long as this little munchkin allows me), so email or call me!

this is my first little peanut taking a few "shots" of me....

**veterans day** {thank you}

allow me to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the men and women who wear a united states military uniform, past and present. i am grateful to live in this country, have as much as we have, and to be able to worship freely. all because of you.

**moon landing** {halloween}

i picked up justus' halloween costume and got the idea to do a "moon landing" shoot... it was perfect! who knows maybe he can add it to his NASA file when he applies later down the road!

**back to school** {styled shoot}

a fun little styled shoot with a REALLY cute model while visiting one of my college besties in eastern washington! back to school! ;)

**mike ward** {head shots}

while i took a little trip down to cali, i was able to spend some time with my cousin. i give you mike ward... the chiropractor/ california redistricting commissioner (i made the last title up because i don't actually know his real title). all i know is... that man is one busy dude. i was so glad i got to spend some time with him for some much needed head shots for his chiropractic website and commissioner "stuff". and yes ladies... he's available ;). love ya mike!

**workshop** {post 3- location 2}

for our second location we headed over to the wsu farm off of pioneer. what a blast! the hartung family was beyond kind to allow me to use their "new" truck for this shoot. i wanted to continue with the WWII theme and vintage look. it worked perfectly. i am so pleased with the images and hope you enjoy them too. thanks hartungs and thanks workshop attendees! what fond memories i have of our special day together!

**workshop** {post 2- location 1}

again, i have to start by sharing how blessed i am. i mean really. my hubby's words, "God disrupted the spring weather system predicted to give you a dry day for the workshop." which is totally true! it was suppose to be ify... i was nervous. i had worked so long and hard on this day... but it was beautiful! the weather was fantastic, the models were wonderful, the attendees were fabulous, and we had such a blessed day.

we started out with lunch and then discussed all kinds of camera topics. then it was off to our styled shoot that i had put together. the first location was inspired by the song "don't sit under the apple tree" by glen miller. i've always loved that song and it's on my website so what could have been a better theme?! i also wanted to do a WWII themed shoot because the love of my life serves in the military and because i am passionate about this beautiful country and it's history. it's also special to me because our family recently lost my dad's uncle who was 90. he was a WWII & korean war veteran. he was also a POW and a very special man. this shoot is dedicated to him and his sacrifices. john 15:13 "greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends"

i was fortunate enough to know a couple of really beautiful people who were willing to get dressed up for me and be our subjects. taylor was perfectly vintaged out, and cj was sporting an authentic WWII uniform on loan from the 2nd ranger battalion. that is also near and dear to our hearts. RLTW!

wow! i'm so blown away. first by how blessed i am (God totally took care of the weather for us!), i got to spend the day with fabulous women & one very cool dude ;), and had so much fun doing it! i am just beginning to sort through images from the day so there will be many more to come, but for now... let me start with the fabulous people who helped make the day downright beautiful!

i can't get over the excitement i have for the 19th! i am actually losing sleep over it... each day i think of or find a new, fun detail for the workshop & styled shoot! there are only a couple of spots left before i officially close shop and call it FULL! so if you haven't signed up...
