JAMESON

I have gotten to spend a lot of time with new babies lately and I'm loving every minute of it.  Little Jameson was no exception!  What a doll he is!  And so so loved.  I adore seeing new parents in action- you can see their hearts bursting with love!  AND nothing beats seeing a soldier holding his baby son.  Congrats you guys, thanks for letting me capture your new family!

TRIPPER

Little Tripper was a referral from a friend in North Carolina.  This beautiful family is new to Washington and couldn't be any cuter!  Tripper turned one this fall!

ADDISON

I had the opportunity to meet this wonderful family and attend little Addison's first birthday party.  What an honor- this little lady is definitely loved!  And her curly hair!  I can't get over this beauty.  Before hand we snapped a few family pictures.  Happy Birthday Addison!

**memorial day** {2013}

today is quite a day for our family.  first and foremost we remember our fallen who gave their lives willingly to protect ours.  we have lost many brothers in our ranger and special forces families over the years and we will never forget their sacrifices.  we are so thankful to those who volunteer to walk in the valley of the shadow of death.  may God bless America.

today is also my amazing mother's birthday.  she is the most selfless person i've ever met.  i pray that i am at least half the mother and grandma she is- always giving and never expecting anything in return.  she always amazes me.

lastly, today we celebrate and remember a very special person in my life.  my dear friend Lise Marie Palmer and her beautiful little girl Faith Marie.  they were taken from us 2 years ago in a tragic accident and we will never forget her love for life, her energy, her laugh, and mostly her love for the Lord.  see you in heaven my friend.

**Bryant** {family}

recently i was told that i needed to start taking it easy on my body so i decided that this would need to be my last session till after baby... and what a session!

the bryant family is BEAUTIFUL inside and out!  momma works at our church and dad is an army soldier who just returned home from war.  and little g is just about as cute as you can get!  he is such a sweet little guy, though he didn't seem to be too interested in my jokes and songs ;).

in the nw you never know about the weather, but this last weekend was like SUMMER!  it was so beautiful out and the sunlight was perfect.  and even though we ran into a snake during the session (and i screamed like a little girl) everything turned out just right!  so excited to have been able to capture this family before they head off to their next adventure!  blessings bryants!

**the cuthredibles** {family}

i am BEYOND EXCITED to share this session with you.  there are several reasons why!  1) beautiful michelle is SO SPECIAL to me.  we've spent deployment time together, she is a sister in Christ, she amazes me with her energy and love, and she has blessed our family lots of times during difficult circumstances.  2) her wonderful husband has served with mine, they have spent time in the Iraqi desert together and in the snowy Afghanistan mountains.  3) her boys are too cute for words, and we were prego at the same time which made it so much more fun!  4) and last but not least, they are in the business of saving lives.... literally

the amazing cuthrell family recently announced that they will be adopting a sweet little lad from China!!!  what an incredible or "cuthredible" BLESSING!  not only will they be so blessed welcoming their new little boy home, but this little guy is being welcomed into one of the most loving, Christ filled families i know!

michelle started a private blog "the cuthredibles" to keep friends and family posted on their adoption journey as well as info on some fun fundraisers they are doing.  their theme... super heros!  because super man was adopted they have been calling their special little guy their "super man"- so fitting right!  but because it's michelle, she took it a step further.  she designed t shirts to sell "future super heros await" to raise money to bring AJ (they just announced his name!) home.  i am so glad i got to be part of it!  we went out to capture their family as they are now, some special photos for AJ to see, pictures of AJ's super hero cape to announce his name, and photos of the t shirts they will be selling for their fundraiser!  so fun!  so exciting!  i couldn't stop smiling after leaving the shoot... i can't wait to see what God has in store for this future SUPER family!!!!

**the lanes** {family}

i love the lanes. and i owe them big time!! why? well, when silver was pregnant with that handsome little guy i snapped a few shots of her belly for them. when it came time to put the images on my computer they were no where to be found. i have no idea what happened! who does that?! and to top it off, by the time i realized it she was already about to give birth and we didn't have time to redo them!!! SO... let's just say we spent some extra time together for their family shoot so i could try to make it up to them!!! we had so much fun! little archer is so happy and sweet and the girls were so patient and willing to try just about anything i asked them to do. thanks for trusting me to take your family photos guys!

**domeij** {family}

as i sit down to write this, i'm not sure where to begin...

you probably never met Sergeant First Class Kristoffer Domeij. most people will go on never knowing his name. he was a heroic, selfless man, husband, father, son, and brother... who paid the ultimate sacrifice for you and me.

on October 22, 2011, SFC Domeij, on his 14th tour of duty, was killed in action by a roadside bomb in the Kandahar Providence, Afghanistan. He was 29 years old. Two other soldiers were killed along side him. 1st LT Ashley White and PFC Christopher A. Horns.

Kris Domeij was a well decorated soldier. one of which my husband had the honor to serve with. his list of awards and medals are lengthy, but his greatest accomplishment is the ones he leaves behind. his stunning wife and two beautiful daughters.

when is the last time you thanked a soldier? when is the last time you really appreciated the freedom you have? when is the last time you thought about those who gave their all so you can rest peacefully tonight in bed?

"just remember this,
i'm in a better place...
where soldiers live in peace
and angels sing amazing grace.
so lay me down
in that open field outside the edge of town.
and know my soul
is where my momma always prayed that it would go.
if you're reading this,
i'm already home."

i'm already home- tim mcgraw

please pray for this country, for those who have volunteered to protect it, and the families they leave behind. this session was booked several months ago, before kris' passing. time is short, life is unpredictable. hold on to those you love.
